AlixPartners, the global consulting firm, announced that payments and financial technology industry expert Mark Flamme has joined the firm as a Managing Director in its Enterprise Improvement group where he will work closely with the Financial Services practice. He will be based in AlixPartners’ Chicago office.

Flamme brings a deep and unique skillset in financial technology and payments along with nearly three decades of experience in strategy and operations consulting. A standout leader in his field, his expertise includes integrating new digital technologies with payments strategies for multinational banks, financial technology companies, and other corporations.

Prior to joining AlixPartners, Flamme was a partner at Strategy& (formerly Booz & Company), a division of PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he led payments strategy services in its North American financial-services practice. In that capacity, he served banking and financial services clients in developing digital strategies and leveraging technology to drive increased process efficiencies. Before that, Flamme spent more than two decades developing a proficiency in all aspects of the integration of technology and financial services, including holding senior-level posts at consulting firm West Monroe Partners LLC and at Deloitte.

He holds an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of South Florida in Tampa.

“We welcome Mark to our team at AlixPartners,” said Simon Freakley, CEO of AlixPartners. “The financial services industry is going through unprecedented disruption today, much if not most of it driven by technology, and Mark’s unique skills, experience, and track record for innovation will be of great value to our clients.”
