KeyBanc Capital Markets Expands Platform With Addition of ABS Team

Date: Nov 02, 2016 @ 07:31 AM

KeyBanc Capital Markets, the corporate and investment banking arm of Cleveland-based KeyCorp, announced the expansion of its fixed income sales and trading platform through the addition of a five-person asset-backed securitization (ABS) team. The new team will partner with different areas across the bank to further enhance the platform’s origination profile.

Andy Yuder, a 25-year industry veteran in ABS, was named head of the new team. He joins Key from BB&T Capital Markets after 13 years, where he served as managing director and group head.  Andy has extensive knowledge and deep investor relationships in the ABS space.  Prior to BB&T, he worked at Credit Suisse, Prudential Securities and ING in ABS.

Alan Staggers, Paul Richardson, Jon Markiewicz, and Brian Switzer join the team from BB&T along with Yuder. As a team, the group executed ABS transactions across many asset categories, including: consumer, timeshare, credit cards, prime and subprime auto, insurance settlements, equipment, container and other conventional and esoteric asset types.

“We remain committed to investing in our fixed income capabilities as evidenced by our new ABS team and seven-person mortgage-backed securities sales and trading team that joined in May,” said Brian Brennan, managing director and group head of Fixed Income. “The ABS team will further help broaden our securitized product offerings and provide several new solutions to our current and prospective clients.”

Staggers most recently served as a senior vice president and was with BB&T for more than 13 years.  Richardson was with BB&T for nearly 13 years, most recently as a director. He also worked at Nomura Securities International, ING and Prudential Securities. Markiewicz comes from BB&T after more than 16 years, where he was a director responsible for all analytics related to asset-backed term securitizations and warehouse lending facilities. Switzer most recently served as an assistant vice president at BB&T, where he worked for more than five years after spending time with PNC Capital Markets.

KeyBanc Capital Markets provides deep industry expertise and capital markets and advisory solutions to companies in targeted verticals which include consumer & retail, healthcare, industrial, oil & gas, real estate, utilities, power & renewables, diversified industries, and technology, through Pacific Crest Securities. With over 800 professionals across a national platform, the firm has more than $27 billion of capital committed to clients.
