Santander Bank announced that Steven Silverstein has joined its Asset-Based Lending (ABL) group as Senior Vice President.
Silverstein is responsible for building new borrowing relationships in the New York area. He has been in the financial services industry for more than 25 years and comes to Santander from Macquarie Bank where he served on the Structured Commodities Finance team, providing financing to commodities trading companies.
Silverstein held a similar role at Societe Generale. Silverstein’s earlier experience included time at BNP Paribas Fortis, TD Securities and City National Bank, where he worked with clients in the industrials space. Silverstein holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He serves of the board of the Stephen Wise Free Synagogue in New York City.
