Citizens Bank announced the appointment of Ted Swimmer as Head of Corporate Finance and Capital Markets for Citizens Commercial Banking, effective immediately. Swimmer succeeds Bob Rubino, who is leaving to pursue other opportunities.
Swimmer will report to Don McCree, Vice Chairman and Head of Commercial Banking.

He has successfully built a strong capital markets business, with a deep focus on delivering an excellent client experience, which is now a meaningful contributor to the company’s overall results,” said McCree. “I am confident that under Ted’s leadership we will continue to grow our capabilities, delivering value-added solutions for our clients while further contributing to the company’s overall performance.”
Swimmer joined Citizens in 2010 as executive vice president and head of Capital Markets and has since assumed responsibility for Citizens’ Sponsor and Corporate Finance Groups. He previously held a range of senior positions with Wachovia, including managing Wachovia’s Leveraged Finance activities. Prior to that, he ran Loan Syndicate and Sales for Wachovia and served as a managing director originating leveraged loans and bonds. Swimmer holds an M.B.A. in finance from Columbia University as well as a B.A. in economics and history from Lafayette College.
