Virginia Commonwealth Bank has hired Bill Bien as Senior Vice President, Commercial Banking. In this role, Bien's responsibility will be developing commercial banking relationships in the Richmond region by helping businesses increase their probability of success.

Bien joins Virginia Commonwealth Bank with 35 years of banking experience specializing in both retail and commercial banking in the Richmond region. He most recently served as Senior Vice President in commercial banking with Park Sterling Bank after spending over fourteen years with First Capital Bank which was recently acquired by Park Sterling Bank. 

In accepting this position as Senior Vice President, Commercial Banking, Bien stated, "I am very happy to be moving back to a locally oriented and managed community bank.
