Capital One Securities announced today that Daniel Bernstein has joined its Equity Research team in Vienna, VA.

Bernstein will initially focus on REIT research in the Healthcare sector. He reports to Chris Lucas, Managing Director and Lead REIT equity research analyst.

“We are pleased to have Dan join our team. He brings a wealth of equity research experience and adds depth to the investment insight we offer clients,” said Lucas. “His abundant research expertise adds to the talent of our growing equity research platform.”

Previously, Bernstein was an equity analyst at Stifel, covering healthcare REITS and healthcare service operators. In 2012, he was ranked #3 in the FT/Starmine awards and #2 in the Wall Street Journal’s Best on the Street Awards, both for stock picking in the healthcare services sector.

Bernstein received his Bachelor’s in Finance from the University of Miami and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. He also holds a CFA designation
