Webster Bank has named Ross Catlin as managing director and senior relationship manager, for the Commercial Bank’s Sponsor and Specialty Finance group. In this position, Catlin is responsible for originating and executing senior secured financings for private equity sponsors and middle market companies across all sectors. He reports to Andre Paquette, managing director and head of the Sponsor and Specialty Finance group.

Catlin brings more than 20 years of finance and banking related experience to Webster, and has a long and successful track record of sourcing, structuring, and closing middle market financings for a marquee group of private equity groups. Previously, he was a managing director of sponsor origination at Natixis US. Prior to his work at Natixis, Catlin held similar roles at PNC Bank, Newstar Financial and Bank of Ireland. Catlin began his banking career at BNP Paribas where he assumed several roles of increasing responsibility across their leveraged finance platform.

Catlin earned his bachelor of arts in economics from Lafayette College and his MBA from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan Flagler Business School in Chapel Hill.

He is originally from New Jersey, and now lives in New Canaan, Connecticut with his wife and two children.
