TD Bank has named James P. Gaspo as Regional Vice President, Commercial Banking for the Greater Capital Region of New York. Based in Albany, he will lead a team of commercial banking professionals serving the needs of businesses across Upstate New York.
Gaspo has 30 years in banking, including more than 25 years of diverse commercial banking experience. He has extensive experience structuring complex capital solutions for large and mid-sized companies and is known for his skill in understanding and meeting client needs.
Prior to joining TD Bank, Gaspo served as Commercial Banking Director at Huntington Bank, covering New York State. Before that, he spent 11 years at Citizens Bank in Albany, where he served as Executive Vice President at Citizens Commercial Banking and as the bank’s New York State President for seven years. His banking career also includes a 12-year tenure at Key Corp, where he served as the Central New York President and Commercial Middle Market Executive for a portion of the Midwest.
Gaspo serves on the boards of the Greater Syracuse Services Corp/Salvation Army, the Madden School of Business at Le Moyne College and Bishop Ludden Junior Senior High School.
Gaspo will soon re-locate to Albany County from his home in Syracuse. He and his wife have two grown daughters. Gaspo holds both an MBA (2003) and undergraduate degree in accounting (1985) from Le Moyne College in Syracuse.
