Wells Fargo Securities, part of Wells Fargo & Co. announced the appointment of Jeff Johnston as head of Subscription Finance, reporting to Chris Pink, head of Asset Backed Finance & Securitization.  Industry veteran, Dee Dee Sklar, will assume the role of vice chair for Subscription Finance, working closely with Johnston.

Johnston joined Wells Fargo in 2007 and established the Subscription Finance business within Asset-Backed Finance in 2010. He also helped lead the acquisition of the WestLB Subscription Finance business in 2012. Since then, he has managed the Origination, Structuring and Execution team within Subscription Finance. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Johnston worked at Bank of America in their Global Structured Products group specializing in securitizations and financings for a variety of different asset classes, inclusive of subscription facilities. Johnston is a CFA® charterholder and received a BA from the University of South Florida in Physics.

Sklar joined Wells Fargo in 2012 through the acquisition of WestLB’s Subscription Finance business and led the growth of Wells Fargo's Subscription Finance business. With her expertise, presence in the industry, and critical client relationships, she brings an unparalleled level of experience to the role.  As Vice Chair, Sklar will focus more of her time engaging in industry affairs and managing key client relationships.

“We have an industry leading subscription finance business with strong growth and momentum,” said Pink. “I have great confidence that in their new roles, Dee Dee and Jeff will together build an even stronger Subscription Finance business.”

The subscription Finance team provides fund-level financing to private equity style funds and other asset managers through structured credit facilities.
