Wells Fargo Announces Key Leadership Changes in Two Major Markets

Date: Jun 14, 2018 @ 08:00 AM

Wells Fargo Middle Market Banking announced that Baimba Norman has returned to Atlanta to lead commercial lending operations in its Greater Georgia region, which includes all of the state outside the seven metro Atlanta counties.

Norman began his banking career in Atlanta in 2005 as a financial analyst for the same team that he now directs as regional vice president. After completing the commercial credit-training program in 2008, he moved into the role of relationship manager in Atlanta. In 2015, Norman relocated to St. Louis to serve as a loan team manager for the Emerging Middle Markets Group, which serves companies with annual revenues between $20 million and $50 million. Immediately before his return to Atlanta, Norman served as senior vice president and loan team manager for the St. Louis Middle Market Banking team.

Norman now leads Wells Fargo’s regional Middle Market Banking business, which provides credit, treasury management, and deposit products and services to middle-market companies with revenues between $20 million and $500 million-plus. Those companies are an important engine of job creation for the U.S. economy. More than 200,000 mid-market companies — mostly privately held — generate more than $10 trillion in annual revenues.

The anouncement comes the same week that Well Fargo announced that Doug Banzuly, Brett Beugen, and Gary Dyshaw have joined the bank's Midwest business banking leadership team. Responsible for leading the bank’s efforts to serve the unique financial needs of its Business Banking customers, the three now report to Tim Billerbeck, head of Wells Fargo Business Banking for the Midwest region.  The three are responsible for leading managers and business development officers across the Midwest Lakes and West Central regions.

Midwest Lakes Region is led by Doug Banzuly, an 11-year company veteran. Based in Chicago, Banzuly oversees a team of more than 80 team members in Northern Illinois which includes greater Chicago, most of Wisconsin and northern Michigan markets. Prior to his current role, Banzuly served as the regional manager for Wells Fargo Middle Market Banking in Chicago. West Central Region is led by Gary Dyshaw, an 18-year company veteran. Based in Bloomington, MN, Dyshaw leads a team of more than 250 team members in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. Prior to his current role, he led Wells Fargo’s Middle Market Banking Specialty Industries Division. Regional sales manager for the Midwest Region is Brett Beugen, a 20-year company veteran. Based in Minneapolis, Beugen is responsible for leading the sales team for the Business Banking Midwest region and managing activities that help support revenue growth. Prior to his current role, Beugen served as a regional sales manager for Wells Fargo’s Middle Market ABL with Capital Finance.

Serving Business Banking customers across the U.S., Business Banking provides a range of services, including credit, cash management, risk management, succession, and wealth management.
