Lazard Ltd. announced that David Parker has joined its Middle Market Advisory practice as a Managing Director in Lazard Middle Market’s Telecommunications, Media & Technology Group. He is based in New York.

Parker has more than two decades of experience in the telecom industry, primarily in communications and broadband infrastructure. The recruitment of Mr. Parker reflects the Middle Market Advisory group’s strategy of developing outstanding expertise in defined sector niches.

Prior to joining Lazard, Parker was a Managing Director and head of Communications, Internet & Media mergers and acquisitions at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey since 2015. Prior to that, he spent eight years as a Managing Director in the Communications, Media & Entertainment group at RBC Capital Markets, specializing in diversified telecom and communications infrastructure companies. Previously, Parker was a Partner at Daniels & Associates until its acquisition by RBC in 2007. During the 18 years at RBC and Daniels, he led a top-ranked investment banking team for mergers and acquisitions in the fiber infrastructure sector. Mr. Parker was also a Financial Analyst at Security Capital Industrial Trust and an Aide for a United States Senator.
