PNC Bank, N.A. announced appointments for the local leadership team in its new Houston region, led by Julie Young Sudduth, who will serve as the regional president, effective July 17. Joining Sudduth are Christian Brown, head of Corporate Banking for the Houston market, and Thomas Byargeon, who leads PNC’s Energy Group.
Last July, the company announced expansion plans to introduce its regional leadership model to Houston, a market where PNC’s Corporate & Institutional Banking already has a significant local presence including the Energy Group and PNC Business Credit, as well as employees in Retail Lending, Audit, Risk and Technology. The company also plans to add a client and community relations director in the market to deepen PNC’s involvement and visibility in the region.
“We’ve already seen great success in Houston with our national businesses, and are optimistic about the opportunities this expansion will present for continued growth – both on business and civic fronts,” said Louis R. Cestello, executive vice president and head of PNC’s Regional Markets. “Julie is an experienced banker with deep roots in Houston, and she is joined by Christian and Tom who each add significant value with their combined industry expertise, making them the ideal team to lead PNC’s efforts in the market.”
