PNC Financial Services subsidiary Harris Williams, a middle market investment bank focused on the advisory needs of clients worldwide for more than 25 years, announced that it has hired Kelly McPhilliamy as a managing director and William McBride as a vice president in the firm’s Consumer Group. McPhilliamy and McBride expand the Consumer Group’s expertise and will focus on the health and beauty sector.

McPhilliamy has over 20 years of experience providing strategic and financial advice to public and private companies, entrepreneurs, and private equity firms regarding mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and capital structure. Prior to joining Harris Williams, McPhilliamy spent 15 years at Wells Fargo as managing director and head of Consumer Investment Banking and six years in Morgan Stanley’s Global Retail group and Merrill Lynch’s Financial Sponsors group. She has received numerous awards including being named by Women’s Wear Daily as a “Mover, Shaker and Money Maker” in 2018 and one of “Beauty’s 50 Most Powerful Women” in 2015.

McBride has advised a diverse group of public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and strategic advisory assignments across the consumer, retail and healthcare sectors. Prior to joining Harris Williams, Mr. McBride was a vice president in the Consumer and Retail Group at Wells Fargo Securities.

“We continue to invest in our Consumer Group with the addition of talented people and incremental sector expertise that enables us to better serve our global clients. Kelly and William have built a great practice in the health and beauty sector, and we are excited to have them on our team and to continue to build on the strong momentum in our global consumer practice,” said John Neuner, managing director and head of the Consumer Group.
