Gordon Brothers, the global advisory, restructuring and investment firm, announced the appointment of Marti Kopacz as Chief Development Officer.
In the new role, Kopacz will build and lead marketing, business development, and corporate development, while creating and propelling new business opportunities. She will expand Gordon Brothers’ deep network of lenders, private equity professionals, investment bankers, and consultants to market Gordon Brothers’ full suite of products, expand market share, and open new sectors and service offerings.

Before joining Gordon Brothers, Kopacz’s career included success in building professional service practices and leading high-profile client engagements as a senior financial advisor. Kopacz’s experience in the restructuring industry includes sectors important to Gordon Brothers’ growth, such as retail, technology, industrial equipment and manufacturing, and real estate. Kopacz has served as a Chief Restructuring Officer, Court-appointed Expert, Chapter 11 Trustee, and Examiner. She is a Certified Management Accountant, a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor, and is a Fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy.

Kopacz is an active member of industry-related organizations including the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), the International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation, Turnaround Management Association (TMA), and the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors. Kopacz has held the position of executive and senior advisor at PWC, Grant Thornton, and Phoenix Management Services.
Kopacz serves on the Dean’s Council of the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. She holds an M.B.A. in Finance and Investments and a B.S. in Marketing from Indiana University.
Kopacz will be based out of Gordon Brothers’ Boston headquarters.
