Star Funding has announced that Jack McLaughlin has joined the company as senior vice president of business development. Bringing 39 years experience in commercial finance to his new role, and he will primarily focus on originating loans for small to mid-size companies seeking purchase order financing and/or receivables factoring.

Previously McLaughlin was with Westgate and Crestmark for 17 years, and running the New York office for the past three years.  McLaughlin has had various positions with many factors, starting with United Factors in 1974. He has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Iona College.

Star Funding Inc. is a privately held company which has been in the purchase order finance, letter of credit and factoring business since January 1999.
