MidCap Business Credit added Terry Dougherty and Jay Cunningham to its risk team.  Peter Rutigliano, EVP stated, “As we continue to grow and build out our portfolio, it is imperative to have right employees in place to meet our customers and partners needs.  We are excited to have Terry and Jay onboard as they bring the experience and expertise we need to enhance our risk team”.

Terence (Terry) Dougherty has joined MidCap Business Credit as a SVP and Head of Underwriting.  Terry previously was with CNH Finance as Managing Director of Commercial ABL. Terry’s collective experience spans nearly twenty-five years in the Banking and Commercial Finance industry with a strong focus on Asset Based Lending and Corporate Cash Flow transactions. Prior experience includes roles with MidCap Financial, MB Financial (formerly, Cole Taylor Bank), BB&T and CapitalSource. Terry began his career as a Corporate Field Examiner with M&T Bank and has since held various front and back end positions including Senior Relationship Manager, Portfolio Manager, Credit Officer and Senior Loan Workout & Restructuring Officer.

James (Jay) Cunningham has joined MidCap Business Credit as a SVP and Head of Credit and Diligence.  Prior to joining Midcap Business Credit, Jay spent 27 years at GE Capital in risk and credit roles of increasing responsibility across a variety of industries and product areas including asset based, factoring, leverage finance, workout, and restructuring.
