Rothschild & Co announced that Bob Berry has joined its Global Advisory business in North America as a Managing Director in the Financial Sponsors Group. Mr. Berry brings more than three decades of investment banking and sponsor coverage experience to Rothschild & Co, where he will help manage and grow the firm’s relationships with private equity clients. He will be based in Boston.
Rothschild & Co also announced today the opening of a new office in Boston. The firm remains committed to growing its footprint in the Americas and the opening of its seventh office in North America is validation of its strategy.

Previously, Berry was a Managing Director in the Financial Sponsors Group with Truist Securities. Prior to this, he headed the Consumer & Retail Groups at both Truist and Raymond James. Mr. Berry also served as co-head of M&A at Raymond James after successfully selling Lane Berry & Co, an M&A boutique that he co-founded and served as President, to Raymond James. He also was a Managing Director in the Financial Sponsors Groups at both Credit Suisse and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, and he started his career with Kidder, Peabody & Co. Over the course of his career, Berry has worked on more than 200 financings and M&A transactions. He is a graduate of Boston College with a B.S. in accounting and finance.

This announcement follows Rothschild & Co’s recent hiring of Timothy Lufkin as a Managing Director in New York, adding two experienced senior advisors to further strengthen the firm’s Financial Sponsors Group.
