Alvarez & Marsal Taxand appointed Cody Dixon a Managing Director within its Tax Technology and Automation group. Dixon’s hire bolsters A&Ms capabilities to address clients’ tax concerns with technology-based solutions that maximize value.
The enhanced Tax Technology and Automation team will bolster the support to A&M Taxand’s clients with data management, analytics and visualization, tax department assessment, process improvement and automation consulting, as well as technology platform integration and custom developed technology solutions. The practice will also partner with the firm’s Corporate Performance Improvement practice to provide clients with holistic, enterprise-wide technology digitization roadmaps relevant to cost takeout, process optimization and data integrity considerations.
Dixon joins A&M with more than a decade of digital tax experience. He most recently served as Tax Director with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Dallas, leading a tax technology consulting and software development team focused on tax depreciation and fixed assets solutions. Additionally, Mr. Dixon has helped clients across multiple industries design and build digital solutions to automate key tax functions.
“The market has expressed a clear need to digitally transform operations. Cody’s hire furthers our ability to work lockstep with clients on identifying and implementing those solutions that will drive change,” said Tyler Horton, Managing Director with A&M Taxand, LLC. “As a leader in using technology to address critical tax considerations, Cody strengthens our offering. His action-oriented approach and vision align with A&M’s operational heritage and expand the technological solutions we deliver from a tax planning and transformational perspective.”
Dixon has extensive experience developing technology solutions across a range of tax issues from fixed assets to logistics and supply chain management. He specializes in extracting data from enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and applying that information to tax considerations facing client organizations.
“As companies are dealing with increased volume of financial data, stored in disparate systems and more sophisticated tax and financial reporting requirements, finding the right technology and efficient processes is a critical component of their successful transformation,” said Ernesto Perez, Global Practice Leader of A&M Taxand. “The combination of A&M Taxand’s tax-automation tools and Cody’s in-depth digital tax expertise provides a fresh tax technology perspective and strengthens our integrated tax processing platform. His experience and foresight will upgrade clients’ ability to identify and implement short-term and long-term cost savings and create value.”
Albert Liguori, an A&M Taxand Managing Director and A&M’s Corporate Tax Transformation Leader, said, “Our clients will benefit greatly from Cody’s proven track record of digitizing complex tax, trade and incentive opportunities. Cody enhances our ability to apply technology solutions to clients’ large data analysis and repetitive processes. These projects usually pay for themselves and generate extra liquidity to fund other transformative change.”
Dixon earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Texas Tech University and is certified as an Oracle PL/SQL developer.
