Houlihan Lokey announced that Jesse Nichols has joined the firm’s global Technology Group as a Managing Director covering the digital infrastructure sector. He is based in Boston.

“We are excited to welcome Jesse to the global Technology Group. Having led many sellside wireless and wireless infrastructure transactions, he has an intimate knowledge of the digital infrastructure space and a client-centric style, which make him an excellent match with Houlihan Lokey’s culture,” said Phil Adams, Head of Global Technology at Houlihan Lokey. “Jesse’s expertise is only matched by the quality of his market relationships and focus on client service. Moreover, his proven track record of success as a team-first leader will advance our commitment to further bolster our already-market-leading Digital Infrastructure practice.”

Mr. Nichols joins from Alpina Capital, where he led communications infrastructure M&A and advisory as a Managing Director. His previous clients include AT&T and TowerCo, a leading U.S.-based tower company, and he has worked with financial sponsors throughout the sector.

“I’m thrilled to join Houlihan Lokey and continue to leverage the momentum that the global Technology Group has built while adding depth to the thriving Digital Infrastructure practice,” said Mr. Nichols. “There is substantial opportunity in this sector, and I am excited to work on the Houlihan Lokey platform to advise digital infrastructure companies on achieving the next phase of their business through M&A or capital-raising transactions.”

Houlihan Lokey’s Digital Infrastructure team is one of the most active advisors in the sector, having provided counsel on more than 25 transactions totaling approximately $13 billion in 2021 and having been active in the sector for more than 20 years. The practice covers numerous industry subsectors, including fiber, fixed wireless, cable, data centers, managed services, wireless infrastructure, wireless and spectrum, digital infrastructure services, and communications software.
