Blank Rome announced that Sheherbano “Sherry” R. Mirza has joined the firm’s Chicago office in the Finance, Restructuring & Bankruptcy practice group.
Mirza is the latest addition to Blank Rome’s national finance team, which recently welcomed partners Joseph M. Welch in Orange County, Mirlande Telfort in New York, Cynde H. Munzer in Chicago, and David E. Kronenberg in Washington, D.C., and Cincinnati over the past year. She also expands the firm’s growing Chicago office, which added partner Bill Katris in early March.
Mirza concentrates her practice on representing financial institutions, lenders, and funds on a wide range of financing and restructuring matters. She has previously represented businesses in single to portfolio acquisitions and operations transfer transactions involving term and accounts receivable financing, as well as financing insured by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development aggregating hundreds of millions of dollars. She has also counseled clients on various corporate governance and diligence matters.
Admitted to practice in Illinois, Mirza received her J.D. from DePaul University, College of Law, and her LL.B., with honors, from the University of London.
