Alvarez & Marsal appointed Jeremy Blain as Managing Director in the Public Sector Services’ (PSS) Federal practice. The action marks a continuing commitment and investment in public sector clients, as well as a specific focus on deepening and expanding the firm’s Federal practice.
Blain brings more than 25 years of management consulting experience to PSS, with a proven history of operational performance improvement and fiscal management powered by data analytics and leveraging emerging technologies. His career includes leading all aspects of creating, growing and running high-performing engagements in the public sector at the federal, state and local levels.
Among his significant achievements are securing a $2 billion contract platform to provide commercial consulting solutions and leading systemic CFO operational reform programs and CIO transformations for various Departments and Agencies across the Federal Government.

Before joining A&M, Blain held leading market roles at Grant Thornton, Booz Allen Hamilton and Arthur Andersen. His wealth of field experience includes comprehensive system assignments across all Federal Government branches and leading a variety of initiatives focused on improving operational efficiency and management practices.

Blain holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Mary Washington and an MBA from Johns Hopkins University. He is a Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) and has served on several advisory boards.
