Alvarez & Marsal’s (A&M) Aerospace, Defense, Aviation & Space (ADAS) practice enters its third year of doubling in growth, with the appointments of Pablo Wangermann and Joseph Perovich as Managing Director and Senior Director respectively. As part of the firm’s Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) group, these hires reflect A&M’s commitment to providing a world class ADAS offering for solving complex challenges and addressing transformation needs.
Additionally, the ADAS team has appointed Alejandro Gonzelez Evora as Manager; Christopher Burroughs, Ars-Vita Alamsvah, Jakob Gettinger, and Akhil Gupta as Senior Associates; and Dennis Gastel as an Associate. They, along with Dr. Wangermann and Mr. Perovich, have academic credentials spanning MIT, University of Cambridge, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, University of British Columbia and Georgia Institute of Technology. Collectively, these new joiners have worked at leading aerospace and defense (A&D) companies including, Sikorsky, GE Aviation, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman and SpaceX.
Dr. Wangermann, specializes in financial and operations performance improvement for corporates and private equity (PE) portfolio companies. He advises clients on growth strategies, digital transformation and aerospace program management. With more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Wangermann has worked across multiple aviation sectors including airlines, maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), cargo, lessors, and business aviation, as well as A&D, and technology.
Mr. Perovich focuses on strategic transformational change initiatives that solve complex, enterprise problems. For over 30 years, he has served as a trusted advisor to government appointees, senior officials, military leaders, and chief executives at multi-national corporations. Mr. Perovich has worked across multiple industries including A&D, life sciences, oil and gas, energy, consumer goods and retail.

Prior to joining A&M, Dr. Wangermann served as a consultant with AlixPartners, Oliver Wyman and Booz Allen Hamilton. Previously, he served as an executive at Hewlett Packard Enterprises and DXC Technology where he led the global internet of things (IoT) offering and developed a strategic partners ecosystem.
Mr. Perovich has served as a member of the Deputy Ministers Governance Committee for the government of Canada. Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Perovich served as President of Hitachi Consulting Government Solutions (HCGS), a subsidiary of Hitachi Consulting, where he was a member of the HCGS Board of Directors. Previously, he served at Raytheon where he led and supported DoD precision guided weapon system programs and operations serving the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy.
