Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) announced the appointment of Managing Director Brooke Hopkins in the firm’s Disputes and Investigations (DI) practice. Specializing in global and internal investigations, as well as internal controls remediation, compliance monitorships, and environmental, social and governance (ESG) compliance and risk programming, Ms. Hopkins’ hire augments DI’s ability to help clients navigate current and anticipated challenges.
Leveraging more than 25 years of financial advisory and strategic consulting experience, Hopkins has conducted complex and cross-border forensic accounting investigations around Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), UK Bribery Act, anti-money laundering (AML), and other regulatory matters. She has also led governance diligence across environmental, health, and safety measures. Additionally, she advises clients oncompliance program development and interim management, internal control reviews, operational and process improvement, litigation analysis, and corporate sustainability reporting directive (CSRD) and other environmental regulation matters.
Hopkins develops innovative solutions for corporate compliance and ESG monitoring and has worked on-site and with matters involving foreign companies and subsidiaries located in North America, South America, Asia, Middle East, and Europe. She works with clients across multiple industries, including leisure and hospitality, technology, retail, transportation, healthcare and life sciences, manufacturing, oil and gas, insurance, public sector, financial services, and media and entertainment.

Prior to joining A&M, Hopkins spent 18 years with AlixPartners, where she most recently served as Partner & Managing Director. While there, she oversaw global and domestic ESG, corporate investigations and compliance, and risk engagements for multinational companies.

Hopkins earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and a minor in political science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Master Analyst in Financial Forensics (MAFF), Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), and has the Oxford Sustainable Corporations Certificate. She serves as Global Co-chair of Partnerships & Special Projects and on the Dallas Chapter Advisory Board of the Women’s White Collar Defense Association (WWCDA).
