CohnReznick announced that Michael Fussman, CIRA, CDBV has joined the firm as a managing director in its Restructuring & Dispute Resolution practice. Based in the firm’s Chicago office, Fussman has 20 years of experience overseeing teams in the design and implementation of leading solutions for valuations, distressed situations, damages quantification, M&A activities, due diligence, and expert witness testimony.

Fussman’s extensive experience includes managing engagements focused on the analysis of financial distress. These engagements have concentrated on insolvency, valuation, fiduciary duties and governance issues, related party transactions, fraudulent transfers, fraud investigations, forensic accounting and investigatory services, and expert witness services.

Fussman is an industry thought leader who has authored articles on valuation topics and participated as a subject matter expert on industry panels. Before joining CohnReznick, he was a director and co-leader of a major advisory, tax, and assurance firm’s Restructuring Services practice. Fussman earned a BBA, Finance, from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School. He is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor and holds a Certification in Distressed Business Valuation.
