Bernstein is an accomplished commercial lending attorney with a strong balance of law firm and in-house experience in both New York and New Jersey. As counsel to domestic and foreign banks, he has documented middle market loans and syndicated credit facilities, with special focus in all areas of commercial lending, including leveraged, structured and acquisition finance, asset-based finance, cross-border and multicurrency lending, private banking, supply chain finance, commodity finance, insurance premium finance, syndications, participations, letters of credit, trade finance, public finance, derivatives, restructurings, sales of distressed debt and workouts.

His previous in-house positions were at Bank Leumi USA, Citibank, Amalgamated Bank and NatWest USA. He has also been a banking partner with several law firms in the New York metropolitan area.
