Great American Group, Inc. announced the appointment of Ed Belanger as Corporate Valuation Services (CVS) practice leader. Belanger has 20 years of experience in the valuation of business interests and intangible assets over a wide range of industries. He will be responsible for all client service aspects of the CVS practice.
"With Ed's proven leadership and client services experience, he will be an invaluable asset as our company continues to expand our service offerings to meet the full range of our clients' financial reporting and tax valuation needs," said Great American Group CEO of Advisory and Valuation Services, Lester Friedman.
Belanger has performed valuation services for financial reporting and corporate tax purposes, and has experience in rendering fairness and solvency opinions.
Prior to joining Great American Group, Belanger served as the South region managing director of financial valuation for another appraisal firm and previous to that worked in the transaction advisory services practice at Ernst & Young. He holds the Certified Financial Analyst designation and is an Accredited Senior Appraiser with a specialty in business valuation.

Belanger earned a BS from Northwestern University, a MS from Southern Methodist University and a MBA from the University of Texas at Austin - McCombs School of Business.
