FTI Consulting announced the appointment of Peter Dumas as a Managing Director in the Lender Services practice within the firm’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment.
Dumas, who is based in Dallas, joins with nearly four decades of experience in asset-based lending across a variety of industries, including healthcare, automotive, distribution, manufacturing and service. In his role at FTI Consulting, Mr. Dumas will focus on asset-based lending engagements, primarily in the syndicated bank loan market.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Dumas was a Director in Citibank’s Asset-Based and Transitional Finance department. In this role, he collaborated with asset-based lending bankers and risk managers on important deal points, participated in deal approvals, engaged third-party due diligence and asset appraisal teams, led the collateral monitoring efforts for the asset-based lending portfolio and worked regularly with bank transactors and outside counsel regarding transaction structuring and credit agreement language.

The Lender Services practice at FTI Consulting offers capabilities including due diligence reviews, portfolio monitoring, crisis credit analysis, asset-based lending field exams and back-up manager services. Clients are primarily global financial institutions and investment banks, hedge funds, insurance companies and other large institutional investors who provide credit to a variety of companies operating across a broad set of industries, as well strategic and financial buyers who examine the credit needs of their portfolio companies.
