AlixPartners announced that two of its professionals are among the recipients of The M &A Advisor's 6th Annual 40 Under 40 Emerging Leaders Awards. Esben Christensen and Tom Studebaker, both members of the firm's Turnaround and Restructuring Services (TRS) practice, will be recognized in the Service Professional Category at the June 29th M &A Advisor Awards Gala.

The M &A Advisor created this awards program to promote mentorship and professional development among the emerging leaders in the M &A and financing and turnaround professionals industry. The winners and finalists were selected by an independent panel of distinguished business leaders.

Esben Christensen is a director in the TRS practice and has more than fifteen years of industry experience within the global transportation sector. He currently has a prominent role in the restructuring of the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority. His previous experience includes serving as the de-facto Chief Restructuring Officer on the TMT USA Shipmanagement LLC bankruptcy case. Esben is a leading member of AlixPartners' Global Maritime practice, which is focused on financial restructuring and operational improvements within the global maritime-related industries.

Tom Studebaker is a managing director in the TRS practice. He has a deep background in developing and implementing financial and operational strategies for companies in a variety of complex restructuring situations. Tom is currently leading the restructuring efforts at a privately-owned IT services and software company. His previous experience includes serving as the interim Chief Financial Officer of a private equity-owned global consulting firm and a privately held energy company. Tom's expertise includes oversight of corporate finance and treasury departments, liquidity management and forecasting, negotiation and structuring of transactions, strategic financial analysis, and business plan development.
