Trade Finance Solutions, the international provider of working capital and global trade financing, has marked its expansion into Europe by opening its U.K. headquarters in the City of London. The company has acquired a highly experienced team of lenders, headed by structured and corporate finance expert Chris Ash, who will assume the role of President of TFS Europe and head of the London office.
TFS offers financing options in global markets across three continents for distributors, manufacturers, suppliers and retailers. The opening of the London office will allow TFS to continue its expansion in Europe and more effectively service its rapidly growing customer base, delivering efficient alternatives to traditional, inflexible services offered by banks and financial providers.
TFS President, Steve McDonald, commented: “This is a significant step forward for TFS and will allow us to continue to expand our global reach. We are pleased to welcome an industry veteran like Chris to our team, given his deep experience providing trade finance products to companies throughout Europe and his understanding of financial markets globally.”
Ash is an established leader in the alternative finance industry, has extensive managerial and technical expertise and is frequently called upon by the media for his insights into the European financial markets and global trade.
As the newly appointed TFS Europe President, Ash commented: “I am very excited to join TFS and look forward to contributing to its expansion plans in Europe and beyond. Our London-based team brings local market expertise, a broad network of relationships with industry participants and a significant pipeline of opportunities.”
TFS was established in 2006 and, in addition to its new office in London, has major operating offices in Toronto, Canada and Miami, Florida.
