Date: Jul 28, 2016 @ 07:49 AM

Ernst & Young LLP has appointed Richard M. Jeanneret to Vice Chair- Northeast Region Managing Partner. Formerly the Americas Vice Chair of Transaction Advisory Services (TAS), Jeanneret will be succeeded by William (Bill) Casey.

“For the last seven years, Rich has led the transformation of TAS around the C-suite’s Capital Agenda and his efforts have been instrumental in driving our market-leading results. In his new role, Rich’s inclusive leadership and connectivity across our businesses and regions will enable us to harness our power to deliver exceptional client service across channels and sectors,” said Steve Howe, US Chairman and EY Americas Managing Partner.  “At a time of tremendous growth for TAS, fueled by a record-breaking M&A environment and transformational acquisitions that have enhanced EY’s service offerings, Bill is uniquely positioned to lead our continued success. His global experience, client service acumen and breadth of knowledge will be critical as we continue to drive growth for our clients as well as in our own practice.”

As Vice Chair- Northeast Region Managing Partner, Jeanneret will lead more than 8,000 professionals across all EY’s business lines in Assurance, Tax, Advisory and Transaction services in 16 offices, extending from Boston to Richmond. Based in New York, he will continue to serve as a member of the EY Americas Operating Executive and Ernst & Young LLP’s Executive Board.

Jeanneret has more than 30 years of experience with both private and public companies, advising on mergers and acquisitions for corporations and financial buyers, public company spinoffs, initial public offerings and securities offerings. During his tenure as EY Americas Vice Chair of TAS, Jeanneret led through a period of sustained growth and diversification, including the acquisition of The Parthenon Group by the US firm which significantly enhanced TAS’s front-end strategic offerings. Previously, he was mid-Atlantic managing partner of Ernst & Young LLP’s Assurance and Advisory Business Services.

Based in New York City, Casey will lead a team of more than 3,600 EY professionals in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean and Israel. He will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality transaction advisory services as organizations seek to achieve their strategic transactions and capital management goals.

Casey brings more than 30 years of consulting and client service experience to his new role. Most recently, since 2013, he has served as Americas Deputy Leader of TAS. Prior to that, he served as TAS Chief Operating Officer for Ernst & Young LLP. During his tenure in these two operational leadership roles, the U.S. practice roughly doubled in size, both in terms of talent and revenue.

“Helping organizations with strategies to raise, invest, optimize and preserve capital has always been a cornerstone of TAS,” said Casey. “In an environment of increased volatility and tempered macro growth, I am delighted to have the opportunity to assist companies with their capital strategies to more efficiently allocate resources and drive results. This is especially vital during a time of challenges and opportunities presented by globalization and technological disruption, and it is very much in line with EY’s purpose of building a better world.”

Casey has led some of the U.S. firm’s largest client engagements, including numerous integrated cross-border transactions. Casey spent more than a decade on engagements in Latin America in the São Paulo office of the EY member firm in Brazil. His sector experience spans the fintech, beverage, automotive, telecommunications and professional services industries, among others.
