Drexel Hamilton, a leading veteran-owned investment banking firm, announcedthat bank analyst David B. Hilder will join the firm’s Capital Markets group as a senior coverage officer focused on banks and other financial institutions.
For the last four years, Hilder has covered banks, credit-card issuers and other lending institutions as a senior analyst in Drexel Hamilton’s Equity Research department. Hilder has covered banks and financial services stocks as an equity research analyst at major investment banks starting in 1991. He was head of the financials research team and portfolio manager of the Global Financials Fund at Putnam Investments, a major Boston-based asset management firm, from 2008 to 2010.
“We believe David Hilder can help Drexel Hamilton serve the capital markets and financial advisory needs of our bank and financial institution clients, as they fulfill the many regulatory capital and liquidity requirements they face today and in the years ahead,” said James Cahill, president of Drexel Hamilton.
“As a former analyst and portfolio manager, David will bring a unique perspective to our bank and financial institution clients,” said Roger Elsas, managing director and head of Capital Markets at Drexel Hamilton.
“I look forward to helping banks and other financial institutions address their capital needs, and balance regulatory capital requirements with value creation for shareholders,” Hilder said. “Over the past 25 years, I have provided an equity analyst’s perspective on many capital-raising and merger transactions. I look forward to working with my military veteran colleagues in Capital Markets on a daily basis as we engage with Drexel Hamilton’s clients to help optimize their capital structures, through debt or equity issuance, share repurchase progams, or consolidation transactions,” he added.
