Alvarez & Marsal Expands Financial Industry Advisory Services

September 11, 2017, 08:00 AM

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has bolstered its Financial Industry Advisory Services practice with the appointment of Michael Henry O’Keefe as a Senior Director in New York. In this role, O’Keefe will focus on A&M’s Wealth Management offerings, advising clients on strategic plans, regulatory gap remediation, price realization and enhancements to risk management and governance and service delivery models.

“Michael’s expertise aligns with A&M’s heritage of developing innovative, sustainable solutions that meet clients’ needs,” said Craig Walling, A&M Managing Director and Wealth Management practice leader. “The traditional wealth management industry business model is increasingly outdated. Michael’s proven change management track record and omnichannel approach experience will help our clients create value in this rapidly changing environment.”

O’Keefe brings over 25 years of financial services industry experience. He has held multiple senior roles in the Americas and Europe, where he has worked on numerous multinational projects involving the U.S., Latin America and Europe. He specializes in advising clients on, and delivering short cycle assignments in, strategy development, digital strategy and assessment, change management, strategic marketing and sales force effectiveness.

Prior to joining A&M, O’Keefe was with Tindeco Financial Services AG, a Swiss based financial technology focused on the asset management and wealth management sectors where he was responsible for building professional sales and client acquisition marketing.

O’Keefe earned a bachelor of arts degree from Marist College in history with an economics minor. Additionally, he received a certificate in Global Sales Force Management from the Wharton School of Business.
