Previously, he was a partner in the international law firm of Burt, Staples & Maner, LLP, providing tax advice to multinational corporations and financial institutions. Earlier in his career, Daftary was a tax partner and practice leader at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

“We’re thrilled to have Cyrus join our firm,” said Jeffrey C. “KPMG is a natural fit for my skillset and provides an excellent platform to help me further my career,” Daftary said. “The firm’s tax business has seen incredible growth in the past few years and is making significant advances in intelligent automation and cognitive technologies as it helps companies innovate and navigate their digital transformation journeys. I’m looking forward to contributing to that progress and working with this impressive team of tax and technology professionals.”

Daftary is a frequent speaker at tax and financial services industry events and a regular commentator on developments in financial services and technology. He has also ser ved as an adjunct professor at Suffolk University Law School (Boston, Mass.).
