Canaccord Genuity Group Inc. announce that Jason Panzer has joined as Managing Director, Investment Banking. Based in New York, Panzer will lead the FinTech investment banking and advisory practice, working in close collaboration with the broader U.S. Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT) group, which currently operates as CG Petsky Prunier.

Panzer brings two decades of industry and advisory experience to his role. For the past ten years he was partner and Chief Operating Officer at investment banking advisory firm Marlin & Associates, where he advised on numerous transactions in the mid-market technology and financial sectors.  Having started his career in the Mergers & Acquisitions group at global law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, Panzer later spent three years as Chief Financial Officer of JCF Group, a financial data provider with operations in the U.S. and Europe. Following the acquisition of JCF Group by FactSet, he continued as Vice President of Business Development for FactSet, where he managed the integration of the two businesses and three subsequent acquisitions. Panzer earned an MBA from Columbia Business School, and a law degree from the Fordham Law School and he is a CFA charterholder.

Panzer will report to Dan Coyne and Sanjay Chadda, co-heads of Canaccord Genuity's U.S. investment banking business.
