Clifford Chance announced that Evan Cohen has been elected Americas regional managing partner (RMP) by a vote of his fellow partners in the region. Cohen, who has led the Americas Banking & Finance practice since 2005, will begin his four-year term as RMP on May 1 of this year. Current Americas RMP Craig Medwick will return to the corporate practice following the completion of his second and final term on April 30.
During the past eight years, Cohen has built a high-performing Banking & Finance team through the strategic acquisition of lateral partners, the growth and promotion of talented associates, and by driving industry expertise to increase the value of the legal advice delivered to clients. He has deep experience in acquisition and leveraged finance, project finance, and syndicated lending and restructurings. During his career, which includes eight years in Hong Kong, he has advised a wide array of clients, including commercial and investment banks, borrowers, institutional investors and project sponsors.
