Doug Nelson has joined Johnson Financial Group as Senior Vice President, Commercial Banking Market Manager to lead the Madison region’s commercial banking team.

With more than 30 years of experience in financial services, Nelson has spent most of his career in Southern Wisconsin and the Greater Madison markets. Nelson uses his deep community connections to serve clients and the community at large. At his former financial institution, he previously served as a Regional President and held senior roles within Credit.

Nelson is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a BBA in Accounting and an MS in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics. An active member of his community, he sits on the boards for the Future Wisconsin Housing Foundation and KELAB, which provides support to UW-Madison. Nelson also served on the boards of the United Way of Dane County, the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce, MadREP, the Meriter Foundation, and Ronald McDonald House Madison. Additionally, he chaired the Economic Development Commission for the City of Madison.
