Skyway Capital Markets announced long-time senior investment banking executive John Patterson has joined its Investment Banking team as Managing Director, Head of Healthcare Group.
Over the course of his investment banking career spanning 30+ years, Patterson has completed several hundred transactions and other advisory assignments, many of which involved publicly traded companies. Within the healthcare sector, he is focused on healthcare services, including providers, payers, healthcare IT and distribution, as well as medical devices/products. In addition to corporate clients, Patterson has extensive relationships within the private equity community, including with many of those most active in investing in middle market health care services companies.
In previous roles, Patterson has served as a Managing Director in the health care groups at leading Wall Street investment banking firms, including Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, Deutsche Bank Securities and RBC Capital Markets, among others. In addition, he has significant operating experience as CFO for a technology startup in the digital media space and as a co-founder of a private equity-backed dental services organization focused on pediatric oral health.

Patterson has a BA in Economics from Bucknell University and an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is registered with FINRA as a General Securities Principal and has Series 7, 24, 63 and 79 licenses.
