PlainsCapital Bank announced Charles Hervey and Scott Allex have joined its Harlingen, TX, banking group. Hervey will serve as Senior Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer, while Allex will serve as Vice President, Business Development Officer.

Hervey has more than 25 years of banking experience, including 23 years in commercial lending. He joins from Rio Bank where he served as Senior Vice President and Harlingen Area President.

Allex brings 26 years of financial services experience, with over 19 years serving as a financial advisor. He has worked at multiple wealth management firms, including Ameriprise Financial, Level Four Wealth Management, and Long Chilton LLP.

Hervey and Allex each received a bachelor’s in economics from Texas A&M University at College Station.
