July 28, 2015, 07:48 AM

Burr Pilger Mayer, Inc. (BPM) announced the appointment of  Edward Webb as leader of its Consulting Practice Group (CPG).

Webb has been managing director of the BPM’s Transaction Advisory Services team since 2013 and has over 25 years of experience in consulting and financial management, including specific experience in restructuring, business turnarounds and corporate finance.

“BPM’s Consulting Practice Group is growing rapidly to address current and future client demands,” said Curtis Burr, CEO and co-founder of BPM. “The Firm is committed to a dynamic response to this market opportunity and is very excited to have Edward take over as the leader of our CPG. He brings the knowledge and expertise required to keep BPM ahead of the game.”

BPM’s CPG works closely with a wide range of industries and individuals to address major business challenges, usually associated with transition or dynamic change including:

  • Business Valuation Services
  • Financial and Operational Due Diligence
  • IP Valuation
  • Litigation Support
  • Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Modeling & Predictive Analytics
  • Quality of Earnings
  • Receiverships & Fiduciary Services
  • Restructuring & Insolvency Support
  • Wind-down & Business Closure

“Our team is organized and focused — now more than ever — combining deep functional expertise with the type of practical experience which addresses our clients’ biggest challenges,” said Webb. “I am not just excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for the CPG, I am completely energized! What our existing service teams will accomplish this year is going to be fantastic. What we will accomplish in the future with services that we don’t even offer yet will blow you away.”

Prior to BPM, Webb was a partner at Walker Nell Partners, an advisory and restructuring boutique providing financial analysis, fiduciary services and the resolution of problem asset situations nationwide. He also spent nine years at the Siegfried Group, a top-25 accounting and consulting firm where he gained significant experience in talent acquisition and practice management as Recruiting Director and Director of Resource Development.

Webb is an active member in the Turnaround Management Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute. He is a member of the San Francisco chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth and a board member of the San Jose Sports Hall of Fame. Edward also serves as an adjunct professor of finance on the faculty at San Jose State University.
