Huron Consulting Group announced that Matt Wilson will join the company as a managing director in its Healthcare practice. He will be responsible for helping health systems, hospitals and physician organizations achieve sustainable improvements in their clinical operations, costs and patient-centered outcomes.

Drawing on his extensive industry knowledge, Wilson will support healthcare clients through data-driven transformation using contemporary, customized solutions that address those organizations’ most pressing strategic and operational needs and leadership challenges.

Wilson brings more than 20 years of experience in healthcare restructuring and change management, specializing in population health, technology transfer and group purchasing. Previously, he served as president and CEO of Kansas-based healthcare IT solutions provider Health Outcomes Sciences, where he led projects that transformed clinical research into evidence-based decision support products and services for health systems and their patients. Prior to that, Wilson spent eight years at global health IT vendor Cerner Corp. in senior leadership positions, including vice president and general manager.
