Duff & Phelps, a global valuation and corporate finance advisor, announced that Brent Bersin has been appointed Co-Chair of the Expert Witness Subcommittee of the ABA Commercial and Business Litigation Committee. Bersin is a Managing Director in the Firm’s Disputes and Investigations Practice.
As part of the Expert Witness Subcommittee, Brent will work with other experts and litigators on current case developments, quantification of economic damages, analytical approaches, best practices, presentation of expert testimony, selection of experts, and training, among others.
Brent brings over 20 years of experience providing financial and economic damages quantification, valuation and expert witness services to clients in the context of intellectual property and commercial disputes. He also has substantial experience providing economic analysis and expert testimony in complex commercial disputes, and has been designated and testified as an expert on both trial and deposition in Federal Court, State Court and Bankruptcy Court, as well as arbitration proceedings.
Along with his leadership role at ABA, Brent serves on the Planning Committee for the University of Texas Patent Law Institute and the ABA Trade Secrets Committee.
