Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) continues to expand its Disputes and Investigations practice with the addition of Larry Iwanski and Robert Lang, who join as Managing Directors. The hirings illustrate A&M’s commitment to serving their clients as they deal with complex regulatory and litigation challenges.

Iwanski brings more than 25 years of experience providing businesses, across industries such as financial services, manufacturing and construction, with fraud and investigative services and operational and organizational leadership. He is an expert in the Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) programs. Iwanski currently serves as a Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves after having completed active service in the U.S. Army as a UH-1 (Huey) and UH-60 (Blackhawk) helicopter pilot. He holds a U.S. Department of Defense Security Clearance.
He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS). Additionally, he holds the Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) credential through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and is a member of the AICPA and the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS).
For more than 20 years, Lang has worked on complex commercial disputes and measured the financial impact of external events, operational changes, and other market factors. He has served as an expert and testified in high-profile cases in matters involving lost profits, valuations, post-acquisition disputes, transaction disputes and business interruptions.
Lang assists companies across many industries with a particular expertise in the oil and gas industry. He has advised clients on contract disputes, royalty disputes, land use issues, and international arbitrations stemming from the volatile price environment, unstable markets abroad and exploration/production in new geographies.
Lang earned a B.B.A. in financial services from Baylor University, holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certificate, and is a member of the CFA Society. He is a frequent guest lecturer in the Graduate Accounting program at Baylor University, where he also serves on the Advisory Board for the Accounting and Business Law Department.
