Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) continues its commitment to serving clients globally and regionally with the appointments of David Kent and Samira Imamverdiyeva in New York.  With these additions, the Global Transactional Advisory practice has recently made over 30 new hires in the U.S alone to further service clients’ growing needs.

Kent joins as a Senior Director and brings more than 13 years of financial accounting advisory experience working on lower and middle-market acquisitions to multibillion-dollar complex cross-border projects. For the past ten years, he has provided both buy and sell side financial due diligence services to private equity and corporate clients on transactions valued from $20 million to $5 billion.  His areas of expertise include identification and assessment of financial risk areas, quantification of items directly impacting transaction valuation, analysis of key performance indicators, purchase agreement reviews and carve-out transaction implications.

Kent has served clients across a range of industries, including manufacturing, retail, consumer products, industrial products, business services, information services, technology, media and entertainment. He has also led international due diligence transactions for both private equity and strategic buyers.

Additionally, A&M's Transaction Advisory Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory team has added Samira Imamverdiyeva as a Senior Director. With over 12 years of experience, she brings extensive technical accounting and SEC reporting advice to clients in a wide range of industries. Her sector experience includes asset management, real estate, private equity, financial services, pharma and technology.
