November 01, 2016, 07:21 AM

Crestmark, celebrating its 20th anniversary, welcomes John D. Gullman, regional first vice president, business development officer, to its East Division. Gullman will represent Crestmark in the Florida market, which he has covered for more than 30 years, and will be responsible for developing diverse working capital solutions for businesses. He reports to First Vice President, East Division Sales Manager James Farrell.

Gullman is a 30-plus-year veteran of the asset-based lending industry, and spent many of those years helping middle-market companies across Florida access financing. He joins Crestmark from BB&T where as senior vice president, commercial finance specialist, he supported corporate and commercial lenders throughout Florida.

Farrell said, “John, with his extensive experience, is a great addition to Crestmark’s East Division sales team. In this role, he will raise awareness for Crestmark’s array of financing options, and help businesses get the funding they need. We are very pleased to welcome him to Crestmark.”

Gullman began his career in asset-based lending at First Pennsylvania Bank in Philadelphia, PA, and later Chicago, IL. Later roles include: senior vice president at PNC Bank, where he worked with middle-market companies; and vice president at Fifth Third Bank, where, in addition to working with middle-market companies, Gullman worked in commercial and industrial lending; and in structured finance. He co-founded and was senior partner at GSR Capital, a private investment firm serving middle-market companies in the Southeast.

Gullman is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG). He is a past president of the board of directors for ACG’s South Florida Chapter; and a past chairman of ACG’s international board of directors, and its annual conference InterGrowth. Gullman founded the Florida Chapter of the Commercial Finance Association (CFA), and is a past president. He currently serves on the board of directors for CFA’s Florida Chapter.
