May 17, 2017, 08:00 AM

BMO Harris Bank announced that it has opened a new commercial banking office in Columbus.  Located at 191 W. Nationwide Blvd. – in the heart of the Arena District – the new office, which will serve as the base for providing financial solutions to businesses throughout Ohio, is focused on providing a wide variety of commercial banking capabilities and expertise.

"The attractive demographics and positive economic outlook made Columbus a very appealing destination for our new commercial banking office," said Ray Whitacre, Head, Diversified Industries, BMO Harris Bank. "BMO offers tremendous cross-border capabilities, and with Canada being Columbus' top export market, we are very well positioned to provide clients with the solutions and expertise they need to grow their businesses – domestically and internationally."

The new office will be led by Kimberly Dennis, who has spent her entire professional career focused on commercial banking in Ohio.

"Kim brings the optimal balance of local market experience and expertise combined with a passion for providing an exceptional customer experience, which makes her a fantastic fit for BMO," added Whitacre.

"I'm an entrepreneur at heart, and the allure of helping to build the BMO brand here in Columbus was extremely appealing," said Dennis. "I was drawn to BMO's platform, its leadership team and its history – 200 years of helping business owners grow their businesses and achieve their ambitions."

A total of nine commercial banking professionals are based in the office, focused on diversified industries, treasury and payment solutions, sponsor finance and capital markets.  The office, which is focused primarily on companies with annual revenues of $20+ million, offers local market knowledge and access to a wide variety of industry expertise.
