M&T Bank has promoted Jason Lipiec to the new role of Long Island president, according to press reports.
Lipiec was previously a senior group manager for middle-market banking at M&T Bank in Manhattan, where he was charged with managing and growing M&T's Commercial Banking efforts in the NYC market. In that role he had responsibility for a $2.3 billion loan portfolio in Middle Market, Not-for Profit, Healthcare and Hospitality and Specialty Real Estate, his LinkedIn profile indicates.
A report from Long Island Business News says Lipiec will report to to Peter D’ Arcy, the bank’s New York City regional president, and that his promotion is part of the bank push to expand its presence in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
