JPMorgan Chase opened its inaugural commercial banking office in Nevada last week, appointing Executive Director Megan Ackaert to oversee lending to middle-market companies with annual revenues starting at $20 million, according to multiple press reports.
The new office is based in Las Vegas, and is the banking giant's first commercial banking office to focus on the Nevada market.
Ackaert previously worked as the vice president of Chase's commercial-banking team in Seattle. Prior to joining Chase in 2010, she was a commercial underwriter at KeyBank for two years, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Chase's commercial banking efforts in Nevada will focus on companies with revenues of $20 million to $500 million.
According to Business Insider, the move follows similar expansions in middle-market cities across the U.S., including hiring commercial bankers in Atlanta to focus on southern states.
