Antares Capital announced that Greg Lawton has joined the firm’s asset management team as managing director, raising capital from institutional investors for the firm’s asset management group. In this newly formed role, Mr. Lawton will report to Timothy Lyne, senior managing director and asset management leader.
“As the growth of our asset management business continues to accelerate, we are very pleased to welcome Greg to the team,” said Lyne. “Greg is a seasoned fund raising veteran and we look forward to his contributions.”
Mr. Lawton, based in Chicago, joins Antares after five years as managing director at Crescent Capital. While at Crescent, he raised significant capital for the company with a focus on financial institutions. Prior to Crescent, Mr. Lawton spent six years as a managing director at Wells Capital Management, where he was the lead fundraiser in the insurance asset management group.
