July 20, 2017, 07:26 AM

Great Rock Capital, an asset-focused commercial finance company specializing in middle-market lending, announced the hire of Steve Parker as Managing Director of Originations.  Based in Seattle, Parker will be responsible for sourcing new investment opportunities and building relationships for Great Rock Capital in the West Regions of the United States and Canada.

"We are excited to have someone of Steve's caliber join our team as his deep relationships and extensive industry experience will help drive the expansion of the Great Rock Capital platform," said Stuart Armstrong, Chief Executive Officer.  "The West Region is a high priority for us as we strategically expand our footprint and we look forward to providing creative financing solutions to middle market companies in this significant region."

Parker joins Great Rock Capital with over 25 years of experience, most recently as a Vice President at Callidus Capital, where he focused on middle market lending in the western U.S. and Canada. He previously held positions at GE, CIT and PNC, where he served as a Team Leader for the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada regions. Parker began his career in asset-based lending with the National Bank of Canada.  He is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, the Turnaround Management Association and the Commercial Finance Association. Parker earned his B.A. in Economics from the University of Victoria.

"As a relatively new and growing commercial finance company, Great Rock Capital is an exciting next step in my career as it looks to expand its market reach to the West Region," said Mr. Parker.  "I look forward to joining a team truly committed to the business goals of its customers by delivering innovative, tailored and highly flexible financing solutions."
