The Investment Banking & Capital Markets team of Wells Fargo Securities announced that it has made two new hires to enhance the depth of expertise within its M&A and Industrials coverage teams, respectively.

Aakash Bhasin has joined the M&A group as a managing director based in New York, reporting to Sam Farnham, head of M&A for the Americas.

In his role, Bhasin will focus on delivering strategic advice to clients in the industrials sector and has nearly two decades of experience in all aspects of domestic and cross-border M&A advisory services including divestitures, buy-sides, mergers, takeover defense, activist-related and heavily structured transactions.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Bhasin was managing director and global lead for Industrials Products at PwC Corporate Finance. He also held positions in the Global M&A groups at J.P. Morgan, Deutsche Bank and Nomura.

Ryan Bloom has joined the Industrials Investment Banking group, led by John Church, as a managing director based in New York. Bloom will focus on the Diversified Industries sector in which he has nearly 20 years of experience advising clients on M&A and capital markets solutions, most recently as managing director in the Global Industries Investment Banking group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML).

Prior to his most recent position at BAML, Bloom worked in the Diversified Industrials group at J.P. Morgan, the M&A group at Credit Suisse and also at McKinsey & Co., where he advised clients on a range of strategic and operational issues. He earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.Com (Honors) from the University of the Witwatersrand (South Africa).
